Company Introduction

Building a Global Contemporary Art Ecosystem

Founded in 2009, Genuine Global Company (GGC) is an international contemporary art company specializing in exhibitions, artist development, and global art projects.

For over 12 years, GGC has developed contemporary art exhibitions and projects connecting artists, institutions, collectors, and cultural spaces in Korea and overseas.

Based on accumulated experience and global networks, GGC continues to expand its role in the global contemporary art market through meaningful projects and partnerships.

GGC Global Art Ecosystem

GGC connects artists, collectors, institutions, corporations, and cultural spaces through a global contemporary art network.

GENUINE GLOBAL COMPANY

Global Contemporary Artist Development & Opportunity Network

Genuine Global Company is an international contemporary art company connecting artists with exhibition, sales, and global market opportunities.

Through its international network and diverse art projects, GGC creates opportunities for contemporary artists to present their work to new audiences, develop their presence in new markets, and expand their professional activities beyond their home countries.

GGC develops and connects opportunities across exhibitions, artwork sales, cultural institutions, hospitality spaces, and international art projects, providing artists with multiple pathways to engage with collectors, institutions, and new markets.

Our goal is to build a long-term global network in which talented contemporary artists can continue to grow through meaningful opportunities, professional collaboration, and international exposure.

GGC Artist Collaboration

Genuine Global Company seeks to work with artists who possess the following qualities.

Genuine Global Company is building a global art ecosystem that connects the Korean and international art markets.

1. Follow GGC’s Professional Direction
Genuine Global Company leads the planning, curation, coordination, and execution of its exhibitions and international art projects.

Artists who choose to work with GGC are expected to follow GGC’s professional direction and established project guidelines, communicate clearly and promptly, and cooperate reliably throughout the entire process.

Artists who are comfortable working within this structure are welcome to participate in GGC projects. Artists who prefer to work independently or follow their own direction may not be suitable for collaboration with GGC.

2. High Metacognitive Awareness
We prefer artists who accurately understand their own position in both the Korean and global art markets, demonstrate strong analytical understanding of the art market, and can communicate smoothly with exhibition organizers based on that understanding.

3. A Basic Business Mindset
We prioritize artists who possess a basic business mindset and are able to engage in smooth mutual discussion and cooperation with exhibition organizers.

4. Respect for Professional Boundaries
We prefer artists who clearly understand the respective roles and responsibilities of artists and exhibition organizers, respect each party’s professional boundaries, and do not overstep into the other party’s area of responsibility or decision-making authority.

5. Rational Thinking
We prefer artists who can make rational judgments and communicate based on facts and circumstances rather than emotional reactions.

6. Strong Communication Skills
As exhibition organizers actively conduct exhibitions and projects both domestically and internationally, strong communication skills are an essential quality for successful collaboration.

7. Confidence Without Excessive Pride
We prefer artists who have confidence in their work and artistic practice, while placing mutual respect and shared goals above personal pride during the collaborative process.

8. Independent Decision-Making and Responsibility
Genuine Global Company offers artists high-quality exhibition and project opportunities, but does not participate in each artist’s final decision-making process or make those decisions on their behalf. Artists are expected to make their own decisions independently and, once a decision has been made, to fulfill the responsibilities and commitments arising from that decision with sincerity and professionalism.

9. Professional Standing Proven Through Achievement
We believe that artists should demonstrate their professional standing through their actual artistic achievements and the quality of their work, rather than relying on titles, status, or qualifications that have been granted to them.

An artist’s exhibition record, particularly the number and quality of solo exhibitions, is an important measure of professional experience, while the quality of the artwork itself remains fundamental.

Artists should therefore establish their professional standing through their body of work, exhibition history, and artistic quality, and should receive professional recognition and treatment appropriate to what they have actually achieved.

10. A Cooperative Attitude
Exhibitions and projects are successfully realized through close cooperation between artists and exhibition organizers.

We prefer artists who actively cooperate throughout the entire project process, including artwork selection, submission of materials, schedule coordination, artwork transportation, exhibition preparation, and operation, and who work responsibly with exhibition organizers to ensure the smooth progress of the project.

11. Understanding GGC Opportunities and an Artist’s Professional Standing
Genuine Global Company may offer artists information about domestic and international exhibitions and projects, special participation opportunities, or favorable terms that artists may not otherwise have access to, with the purpose of supporting their professional activities and development and creating new opportunities for their work.

However, receiving such an opportunity or proposal from GGC does not in itself mean that the artist has already achieved a high professional standing or an established position in the art market. GGC may offer various opportunities based not only on an artist’s existing career achievements, but also on the potential of the artist’s work and possibilities for future development.

We specifically clarify this point because, in some cases, artists have misunderstood an invitation to a special exhibition or project from GGC as recognition of their professional standing or position in the market, or have used GGC’s proposal itself as a basis for exaggerating their career or market value in external promotion or marketing. Such misunderstandings have also, in some cases, led artists to misjudge their actual position and role within the collaboration or to develop inappropriate expectations or attitudes.

Therefore, a proposal or invitation from GGC does not in itself constitute GGC’s official certification or guarantee of an artist’s market standing, career level, or the value of the artist’s work.

GGC states this clearly in order to prevent such misunderstandings in advance and to establish a clear and professional basis for collaboration with artists from the beginning.
